High-Quality Vegetable Leather: Crafted from the finest 3mm (1/8") vegetable leather, our strop is bark-tanned in the historic Podhale region, following a 17th-century recipe. This traditional method ensures minimal environmental impact while maintaining the durability and quality of the leather.

Premium Handle Material: Beechwood (Fagus sylvatica) from well-managed Carpathian mountain forests provides a durable and comfortable grip. Each handle is FSC certified, confirming its sustainable woodland origin.

Premium Sharpening Strop: Both the leather and handle are handcrafted into a premium sharpening strop, designed to keep any knife or straight razor razor-sharp. The hardwood paddle shape offers excellent stability during use.

Large and Comfortable: The large 320mm (12.6") x 60mm (2.36") overall size and 206mm (8.11") x 56mm (2.17") working area provide ample space for polishing the blade. The double-sided paddle strop features both smooth and rough leather surfaces, allowing you to choose the perfect texture for your needs.

Versatile and Easy to Use: Apply your chosen polishing compound on one or both sides of the leather strop. Most users prefer white compounds on the rough side and green compounds on the smooth side, but you can also opt for coarser or finer grits. You can also leave the smooth side compound-free for ultra-fine touch-ups. Always strop after sharpening with your finest stone, pulling the blade backwards with low pressure and maintaining the same (or slightly shallower) angle.

Wide Range of Applications: Our premium leather sharpening strop is perfect for honing and buffing straight razors, chisels, hunting knives, pocket knives, kitchen knives, and any tool that needs an extremely sharp edge.

Special Honing Compounds: Includes a softening balm and 4 grits of special Bacher polishing compound. These are specifically designed for use on leather strops and belts, softening and conditioning the leather with lanoline and beeswax additions. Each set weighs 7g (1/4 oz) and includes grits Red 2000 (medium), White 5000 (fine), Green 8000 (very-fine), and Black 12000 (ultra-fine).
